Covid-19 Statement 

ReachOut Arts believe in the positive impact that creative sessions and workshops such as ours can have on people, particularly young people, their learning and more importantly on their wellbeing. As a result we are working hard to ensure that when students return to full schooling, we can enhance that too by being in a position to return as external providers and making our visits to your setting and venues as safe as possible. The government guidelines are ever changing but we are ensuring that we are adhering to these changes as and when they are required. 

 

Our team find visiting settings extremely rewarding and from feedback received we know that the memories and experiences that those we work with are extremely worth while. 

 

We are now pleased to be taking bookings for visits with our Educate workshops and for our creative consultancy with our Creative events programme. We cannot wait to continue to follow our ethos of ‘building confidence creatively’ through the delivery of our work.

This Covid-19 plan is suitable for  all elements of our business particularly for 'ReachOut Educate', for our 'ReachOut Creative' contracts we will confirm procedures with our clients during creation of a final contract. 

​

To ensure that we are doing our absolute best to make our visits to you as safe as possible for all involved,  please see our adaptions and plans to minimise risk below:

​

• Our team will discuss the current Covid -19 procedures within your setting or venue prior to arrival and ensure any of our team attending are made fully aware of both your Covid-19 and safeguarding requirements. Should you require our team members to wear masks at any point of the day our team would be more than happy to adhere to this.

• All ReachOut team members have taken infection prevention and Covid-19 awareness training. 

​​

• All ReachOut team members will complete a health record declaration prior to attending a workshop declaring that they have not had symptoms of Covid-19 themselves or been in contact with anyone with known symptoms. Should a staff member declare symptoms or being in contact with someone with symptoms, they will adhere to appropriate isolation procedures, we will then do our utmost to ensure we have a staff member available to attend, should we find ourselves in a position to be unable to facilitate your workshop due to staff being unwell, we will arrange a future replacement date or where a future date would be unsuitable, a full refund.

• We have made additions to our health and safely risk assessment to implement new practices and procedures to reduce the transmission of Covid-19.

• ReachOut team members will adhere to hand washing/sanitising procedures on arrival, before and after delivery of our workshops or performances, where needed within a session and before and after eating. 

​​

• Current government guidelines advise that our student groups are reduced in capacity, as such we will now only be able to work with one of your ‘bubbles’ or at maximum a full class size at any one time unless an appropriate sized space is available such as a school hall.  In regards to creative events, we would also require the capacity of general public to be monitored and in line with government guidelines - this will be discussed during the creative contract process.

• The nature of our workshops and performances often rely on seeing and being able to touch our props and artefacts.  All items will be cleaned before and after each group.. The use of props will be facilitated by our team members and assessments made during the session to avoid any cross contamination. Prior to touching any props we request that students are either hand washing or hand sanitising.

• When working in your setting a space that has enough space to allow for appropriate social distancing is essential, ReachOut team members will maintain at minimum a 1m distance from any adults or children we may come into contact with but our preference, where possible,  is our staff maintain a 2m distance. 

​​

• In school settings, we are more than happy to work outside should the weather allow or in a school hall if the area is reserved for the 'bubble' we are working with only.  The most ideal space would be the classroom of the ‘bubble’ that are participating in the workshop. This assists in keeping movement around the building to a minimum.  For events we will discuss our creative space requirements during the contract process.

• Workshops and performances may need to be adapted to incorporate social distancing, as with creative workshops there are often role play and drama based activities, these elements are an important part of what we do and will still take place where safe to do so often focusing on performance as an individual. The focus will be taken away from face to face contact and the time spent on such activities will be kept to a minimum.  In regards to performances where the ReachOut team are performing, all performances will be created with the safety of our staff and audience in mind and in line with the current government guidelines, masks may be required to be worn by our audiences dependent on the venue and performance. We ask that our clients respect the choices we make in order to maintain the safety of our staff and audience members.

We take the safety of our clients and the school staff and children we work with as well as our own team very seriously. We feel confident in being able to deliver a safe, engaging experience to your students and hope that our practices above demonstrate that.
